So my feared part of being a single mom (since R is semi OFW lol) has came. The two kids are sick last night. Both clingy. Both wanted to be with Mommy. Hays. 

Anyway, the cutest scene came and I know I will have lots of it when D and S grows up. 

D is nebulizing. S crawled next to his kuya and laughed, giggling. 

D said, "Akala ni S lumaki nose ko!"

Haha, I need to get ready for more of this!

So one night, S learned how to kiss mummy in her tummy, kuya D also did the same. 

They produced a babbling sound and laughed. 

Mummy was so ticklish and laughed so hard, so as the baby and the kuya. 

The kids kissed the tummy, mummy laughed and the babies giggled. 

Repeat 100X. 

I so love motherhood.

What else to play inside the bedroom? Hide and seek! Usually D cannot perfect the hiding with S, minsan may arms or feet na lumalabas sa blanket. Pero last night, they completely hide inside, yun nga lang I can hear S' squeals and giggles whenever I can their names.

D and S playing with D's balloons, then S accidentally popped this orange balloon.

D: Ay pumutok!
Me: Hala! (and panics!)
S: (no reaction) lol
D: Its okay, mayroon pa naman ako ibang balloons!

aw! D is so sweet and really patient with S. As of now, he doesn't fight S even though the little princess always ripped his books, grab his toys and pokes his eyes lol

Weekend (February 27-28)

Hello blog! I missed you, and I miss my old self and routine too. We are in the big process of adjustment of having two kids these past months, but, but we don't complain and we will not complain. We are tired and sleepless but we are happier. Anyhow, since we are still making adjustments, and even Kuya D, we make it a point to spend more quality time together. So last weekend was spent more with the kids. Minsan lang naman sila dadaan sa stage na yan, so we will enjoy it and will put couple time on hold muna. lol 

Weekend started with kuyaD's antics and a lot of dramas, wittiness and funniness. He never fails to make us smile panic haha. So here he is sporting his "police officer" look using his gun, belt and penguin eye goggles as accessories. I promise myself to blog another deionisms in the future.

We spend saturday to do some "run fun" according to D. Look at these adorable monkeys stretching before jogging.

Sometimes they will stop because tumutug-tug daw ang puso ni D lol

And eto na nga, napagod na ng tuluyan haha. 

The rest of the weekend was spent eating, sleeping, watching movies, sharing tickles and giggles with the kids. Nakakapanibago because usually we go to malls and eats out during weekends, ngaun we stay at home na. Oh well, iba na ngaun, quality time and tipid moments na lol. 

Here our two loves playing. D busy with the iPad, and S with her hanging toys. Simple joys. 

Surely that was not our ordinary weekend, but a simple memorable weekend where we a lot more time to the kiddos.

S can now interact and even giggle into mommy's crazy jokes! And Kuya, well he's slowly beginning to learn loving S. Wala ng mas masaya pang buhay sa kung annung mayrron kami ngaun. #Blessed.

D is FOUR!

My baby boy is now 4 years old! Yes, just like that. And little more years, I'l have a teenager na! OA lang db? but honestly, time flies so fast and kids do grow faster as well. That is what as much as I can I am enjoying his childhood, even though it is harder with babyS now (talk about balancing time with two kids) I am getting there! 

D's 4th birthday is the simplest so far. But we made sure he gets all (well almost) everything he wanted. 

Remember the birthday tradition of blowing of candles and giving the gift first thing he opened his eyes in the morning? He loved it, and I guess I will definitely do this every year until he's married lol or even if he is hahaha

Months, before his birthday, D has a list na of everything he wanted for his birthday, and I just made a mental note haha.

1. Cars - yes toys again!
2. Go to Ocean Park - We did this earlier since we figured out it will be difficult na when babyS arrived. But no, he wanted to come to see the penguins.
3. Bubbles - Yes, bubbles while daddy is doing the laundry haha.
4. Balloons - Yes, lots of them
5. Carnival Cake - Yes, this although from goldilocks, ay hard to find and order din pala, so I had it customised instead.
6. Invite his friends - Yes, we did the party at the school.

D celebrated for 3 days, pero simple lang everyday. First day, we cooked simple lunch at home. We sang happy birthday and he blew his first cake, we let him pray and it goes like "thank you Lord, Salamat po sa birthday ko, sa handa kakain na ako madami, matutulog na palagi,  ..... " adorable isn't?

Next day, we went out and eat ice cream, then his final birthday. I am now a fan of simple birthday celebrations at home #hasslefree. 

And as D turns four, his terrible two stage has gone double! haha

- he asks unlimited questions he knew the answers 

- he's curious about everything and to the point I also cannot explain the idea 

- tests everyone's patience to the highest level

- questions our rules and sometimes tries to disobey them, just to see what will happen

- he's into dismantling and destroying toys

- he's sooo picky eater

- he knows to assert what he wants into the tiniest details and stand by it, even if we spank him (yes we do it sometimes)

- know how to sneak outside our gate to play 

- he's can eat all by himself only if we eat at Jollibee or McDonald's

- he does't want to ride the shopping cart anymore and run along the aisle to get whatever food he wants

- he will run and hide at you while doing the shopping

- he can reason out about everything he do

- throws tantrums (mega) if he wants something

- he's into "don't make me sleep mommy" stage

But as he aged, he's also showing some signs of maturity, KuyaD na kasi. 

- he knows how to listen (sometimes)

- he can open the refrigerator or the goodie box to get his own food, even get his own water

- he can now pack his toys, shoes and some gadgets

- he now chooses his outfit and knows how to wear them (sometimes)

- he can look after babyS (sometimes) when I do something

- his social skills improved, he can sometimes share and play with other kids

- he knew how to make lambing to the grannies so he can get any toys, food and passalongs he want

D is growing as an adorable child right?! and I super hope we are doing the right thing raising him.

Manila Ocean Park

Me: D, we are going to Manila Ocean Park today,

D: Hindi, mommy, Philippine Ocean Park

Me: Ha? Hndi, Manila

D: Noh! Nasa Philippines tayo db? Philippine Ocean Park!

And witty talaga ng anak ko! hahaha

Anyway, one month before I pop, familia E trooped to Manila Ocean Park to explore and to also have some quality time with our panganay before bunso arrives. I got the promo from Metrodeal for P499 with 5 attractions.

So far, I am happy with my transactions with metro deal. I purchased in the morning and used the voucher in the afternoon. Good thing is also they have designated booths for vouchers users. Upon claiming your vouchers, they will provide you with the schedule of the attractions, so you could budget your time. We went there by 3pm and finished all the attractions by 8pm. There are lots of students with field trips so expect the chaos, but they have separate lines for walk-in guests. 

First Stop: Sharks and Rays Dry Encounter

Second Stop: Oceanarium

Someone is afraid of the large fishes, wants us to go home na aged agd! 

R, being also a first timer was also amazed with the big fishes. Me being the third timer was also happy seeing the fishes, but D was so afraid. 

But once we entered the small aquariums, with cute little fishes, D warmed up na and enjoyed the tour inside. Yun lang, he became so giddy that we cannot take even a proper photo.  

Third Stop : Jellies Exhibit

Next stop is a room, dark with mirrors and colourful jelly fishes. This is my first time to see this, and its amazing. Even D was mesmerised with the different shapes and colors and mirrors.

Fourth Stop : Sea Lion Show

At this point of the tour, we are a bit exhausted to take pictures. Haha But the show was fun! Yun lang you have to be in the front seats to really see the sea lions. Nonetheless, D was so happy and telling lots of stories about the tricks "wally" did. Sino si wally? hindi ko alam! There are boring parts, so we took a family picture (the most decent we had) to entertain ourselves. 

Fifth Stop: Symphony Evening Show 

This is the last show, and we almost ditched it out because we are so tired na, but when we heard saw some glimpse of it from the first show, we decided to wait for our schedule na din. And obviously didn't had any picture of the colourful fountains, lights and lights reflections. I was so aliw to watch kasi, and even D who was about to throw tantrums na that time went silent and focused on the show. Even R enjoyed the show and took videos.

There are more new attractions in the facility that the whole family can enjoy. Yup lang, it comes with the price. But there are free! like the  following...

Halloween display that you can take pictures. 

Small tree that kids can climb. 

D may not saw the penguins, but he saw a parrot! (in picture!) he is happy na!

One tip, make sure you bring your  own food. Because food are expensive inside. But I gave in to KuyaD's request even if the cornetto ice cream for P20, there costs P50! 

Overall, it was a sulit tour. Even if we woke-up with whole body ache the next morning. But hearing D's stories and happy hangover made it every muscle ache worth it.

And we took home a friend, "nemo" which D hugs every night.

Working Mom's Problem #1

How do we explain to our child the reason why we need to work? 

I have shared before my everyday struggles of leaving D every morning. He would always grab my clothes and ask me to change into my pambahay, my bag or just throw a tantrum with a cutie puppy eyes telling me "Mommy wag ka na magwork please? dito ka nalang sa bahay please?" May drama pa yan na "Wag ka na alis, kasi namimiss kita!".   He would even sometimes cry from his heart. How can I say no to that? There are times that I give in, and just file a leave for a day.  But I can't do that everyday, I a work, with deadlines. 

Working mothers have different reasons why they need to work. Mine, aside from securing our family's financial status, I am not a domesticated woman, I can't even cook my favourite adobo dish. I believe that I am not destined to be a full time housewife, 4 days at home naloloka na ako.  But admit it, the little minds of our kids would not understand it right away. Gave lots of explanations to D, all sorts of having money to buy his toys, to travel, to buy food and a lot more. But he would still cry every morning. Ang sakit sa puso.

One night, just as I entered our gate, D came to me very excited. 

D: Mommy! hindi ka na papasok sa work bukas okay?

Me: ha? Bakit?

D: quasi may pera na ko, pambili toys, food, clothes. 

Me: ha? saan? saan galing?

Then he showed me this.  

D: Diba? Mommy madami na tayo pera.

I was speechless for moment, I just hugged him tight and kissed him. Grabbed an alkansya and told him to save his money, so we can have more. But honestly, I don't know how to respond. My little man finding ways to make me stay at home with him. Lola L told me he picked those coins from the corners of my drawers. I felt guilty again, for being so selfish of choosing to work, but I have to. And now that baby S is comming in a few weeks, I may need to rethink my choices again.

Smile October 2015

So we had our photoshoot again. I wanted to create a memory where babyS is still in my tummy. And I believe the best way to create a memory is capturing them thru pictures. #Pagbigyanangbuntis
