Our 2014 Yuletide Celebrations - Camp John Hay and Baguio Country Club Christmas Village

Sunday morning last day of the holiday break,  our little family went-up again to Baguio City to do the rest of our itinerary. We left La Union after lunch to avoid heavy traffic and tourists again. lol

First stop is in Camp John Hay Technohub, where we did our Family Photo Shoot. While waiting for our turn, we ordered some cakes, lemonade and hot chocolates at the Vizco's Cafe.

Someone loved the Red Velvet Cake. Yums.

While the kiddo was busy eating, the parentals took selfie again.

The entire photo session was blogged on a separate post. You may want to check it. It was so fun!
While waiting for the CD and printed copies for 30 minutes, we roamed around the area and someone enjoyed the space!

D: Wag mo ako buhatin mommy! maglalakad ako!

We run... and run... and run...

We got tired, so we sat down and allowed D to run with the trees alone.

And suddenly he stopped at a tree. We don't know if he's praying or imitating peeing. lol

After getting our pictures, we went to Baguio Country Club Christmas Village. Yes, sa bahay ni Olaf as D said. Because the the theme is Frozen.

Entrance is P80 per adult, and children below 3yrs is free.
D is not yet 3, until Jan18, so he's still free. Yay!

Good thing we decided to go there as early as 5pm and just wait for the lights to open by then. We got good pictures with natural lightning and also few people pa lang.

Upon entering, D got super hyper and excited! as in he's screaming over Olaf! He's so happy!

D: Mommy picture mo kami ni Olaf! (As in andami niyang pictures!)

This windmill emits snow (bubbles)

Someone is not into looking at the camera when pictured. Ewan saan niya natutunan.

The giant tree.

D: "In Summmmeeerrrr!"

We waited for the lights in the benches, and eat Oden Soup. Yum!

And the snow! D couldn't contain his happiness with the snow! He's running everywhere! Happy!

With the Frozen Gang. See? he's not looking at the camera again.

Happy!. . .

That concludes our vacation/celebrations. We promised to make it better next year. We may be back with the usual programing this week, but the pictures and memories made me smile randomly.

I love my life and my family.

2015 Family Photos by Fog Photo - Baguio City

Hello there! Happy New Year!

Today is the first work-day for 2015, yes! holiday was over! (sad face) and I'm blogging instead of working, because I still have this holiday hang-over and even my counterparts are lol.

Last holiday celebrations was D's 2nd christmas, and so far the happiest for us. I will have another post for that. But for now, I wanna share some positive vibes by documenting how we enjoyed our second family photo shoot session by Fog Photo.

Since daddy R is based in Baguio for 3 years now, we usually spend some our holidays break there. Baguio City is also part of our lives. So we considered having our session there. This is actually my new "pauso" haha an annual family photo session, to see how our family grow.

So our little family of three trooped to Ayala Land TechnoHub in Camp John Hay. Everyone can go there via private car or via cab, easy peasy.

And because the studio is beside the famous Vizco's Cakes, you can have a bite while waiting for your turn. Their signature cake is the strawberry cake, but the red velvet and mango are also a must try.

So just after the finished our cakes, we are called for our turn. The staffs are so friendly and accommodating. Even the photographer, made our session super fun!

So, Familia E's 2015 Family Photos

 All Smiles.

Someone is not happy being kissed.

Yes, we had our moment too.

And someone made "singit" over our couple picture haha. Cute.

Happy!

D: I'm a Dragon!

Photo Package includes (3) chosen pictures printed in 4R size and comes with a CD for P299. And since we really enjoyed the session, we got (2) sets a total of (6) pictures for P598 only. Super sulit right?

Fog Studio is a must try when you visit Baguio City.

Hello Baler! Summer 2014

Hello there! I'm back, and my one and only avid reader (my hubby of course) is demanding for an update for this blog. How time flies right?! Last time I blogged was last mother's day! ayayay! A lot of things happened, with so many stories I want to document and others?! I want to forget them! lol

Anyway, one of the highlights during my hiatus was when we trooped to the "famous" Baler! I don't know what happened this summer, pero lahat nalang ng feeds to sa fb at ig is all about Baler, super naging destination siya this summer and syempre hindi kami nagpahuli!

We left manila at 2am via private van, and arrived Baler at 7am. Travel is supposed to be 6-7 hours, I dunno what our driver did basta ako tulog and nagising nalang when we are cruising the sierra madre mountains and sunrise.

Blurred Panoramic shot of the Balete Tree. I just discovered that my Samsung s3 can do this, super thanks to the "kuyas" there who patiently took our photos.

Drama upon entering the gigantic tree.
Yes, pwede pumasok, hindi lang sure if makakalabas ka daw. lol

Next stop was the Ermita Hill, where you can see the sabang beach.

And the "brackish" part, also known as an area where fresh and saltwater meet. Yes, at ang tagal namin pinag-isipan yan. The view is fascinating and relaxing.

This is the picnic area of Emita Hill. There is also an area where kids can run and run all day.

Next stop is this rock formation. Its beautiful, tinamad lang ako bumaba ng van to have a picture.

Our itinerary also includes visit to the museum and church, kaso we are all "tamad" na. So we went to our accommodation to rest in the Sabang Beach. Since Baler is still developing, most of the resorts are small and basic, some are still constructing and some are homestay. Ours is a basic room with aircon plus bathroom, but sobrang lapit sa beach and bars.

And while we are having relaxing in our rooms (ang init kasi sa labas) nagbrown-out! omg! haha the caretaker said we are lucky dahil few hours magkakaroon din daw power, pero dati daw days nawawalan and even water wala! oh my talaga! And we are lucky pa din, because during the peak of summer, ung iba sa schools na daw nagcheck-in. Baler is way more to be developed pa talaga, to be ready for tourism. But I like it na sobrang probisnya ung feel ng lugar, mas relaxing.

And since walang power sa room namin, we went out so have lunch in the stretch of Costa Pacifica. It's  the beautiful hotel dun, so its always fully booked, I didn't dare to take a picture, maiinggit lang ako lol.
But this is their view of the pacific ocean.

We had lunch at Bay's Inn, so pictures of the food since we are all so gutom na, we get their group meals kaya siguro mabagal ang service. The food is good, pero medyo pricey.

So while killing time, we took pictures on their signages, and I love this one "stress free zone" haha pwede ba dalhin yan sa office?! lol

And since walang power sa Inn namin, we proceeded na with our next day's IT, the trek and swim to Ditumabo falls. We rode a tricycle from our drop-off point to the starting point, sobrang bumpy ng ride! nakakaregla! lol! then we walked 1 hour to the falls, our tour guide said the locals only took 30 mins to the falls! nakakaloka ang hirap kaya?! But when we reached the falls, sulit naman! the water is so crystal clear and malamig1 brrr!
See?! enjoy kami. Don't ask me why I am in rashguard, nakigaya lang ako haha.

After our falls trek, we went back to sabang beach and experienced the waves. Ang saya! we don't have pictures dahil tumakas lang kami while some are cooking our dinner. There are free surfing lessons pero hindi na kami nagtry, wala kaming guts lol

After dinner, we strolled along the shore, nakakatakot dahil there are areas na madilim, except with the stretch of Costa Pacifica. Aside from the retaurants, some bars and grills, wala masyadong night life. And dozed off by 10pm and set our alarm at 5:30 so we can watch the sunrise. Kaso even we woke up by 5am, the sun rises na! Ganito pala sa pacific ocean lol

The waves are still peaceful, enough for a morning walk, played in the sands and just when we are planning to dip the sea again, we saw manong there with the jellyfishes!

Andami nila! so natakot na ako pumunta sa dagat. Instead, we went to the market and bought blue marlins for P180/kilo, salmons for P200/kilo, beef for P180/kilo and some squids and others fishes fresh from the sea! Nakaka-aliw namili, hindi lang aliw ang wallet ko haha dahil mapapabili ka ng madami dahil mura talaga, mas mahal pa nga cooler (the styro type) P200 haha.  Tricycle drivers there are so kind, they even helped us to pack the fresh fish and put on ice plus salt para umabot sa manila.

Since we don't want to go to the museum and church na nga talaga, by 9am we are off go! we just dropped by at Puno's Ice Cream, and made me fall inlove with the macapuno flavor. Nagsisi talaga ako at hindi ako bumili ng pint! hmp! anyway, sabi ko nga, babalik pa ako sa Baler, para sa ice cream! lol

And, thats it for my Baler Summer!

Dipolog City Wet Market

Yes, Almost a month ago, I went to Dipolog City for a two-day training. This was during the Zamboanga City siege, I know! katakot kaya? R and my family asked me 10x if I really need to go, or hindi daw ba makakacancel? R even asked me not to go, takot lang niya mawalan ng asawa haha! But the people in Dipolog assured us that Dipolog City is peaceful and nothing to worry about. And true enough we enjoyed our stay there almost, If only baby D did not get sick while I am away.

This is my second time to visit Dipolog, and this place is one of my favorite. Life is so simple. People are accommodating, the slow paced life made me relaxed and wanna stay chos! My first time here, we visited Dapitan and Dakak, will find time to post the photos, promise! But for this trip, we opted not to go out often, be better safe at the hotel ang drama namin. But, but since city life in Dipolog is so simple that their central market is just a few blocks from the hotel, dun nalang kami namasyal. I enjoyed! from someone na nag-iinarte na wet markets, I appreciate their market there. Lemme show you the photos?? Sorry if walang captions ung iba, because this was almost a month ago, inatake na ako ng momnessia! (excuses!)

Public transportation is more on habal-habal.

Freshness! I think this is tuna.

Fresh dalagang bukid.

Ganyan kalaki mga fish, parang buto ng pigs mga bones nila.

Galunggongs!

Dried Fish for P70 per kilo (I thought pareho lang dito P120 per kilo pala)

Veggies are packed ready for kilawin!

Seaweeds! P20 per kilo.

Bananas!

Durian madness! we ate this by the sidewalk. sarap. (wag lang amuyin)

Our last night was spent out din naman. We went dinner to their famous dampa in Dapitan City. Yumminess the food. Mindanao and Visayas regions talaga are the best in fresh seafoods.

Restaurant by the bay. During day, you can have lunch by the boat cruising by the bay.

Native table settings.

We love the packaging of the spoon and fork. Muntik na maiuwi.

Spicy Crabs.!

This is heaven. Grilled banana split with vanilla ice cream.

Dipolog and Dapitan City are one of the simple yet beautiful places i've been. Must visit.
