Giggles #EverydaywithDandS

Sharing everyday stories of D and S, their sibling love and how our life is as family of four. Adding these to our memory bank that hopefully we can look back and laugh at, in the future.

Mommy G,

So everyday traffic and mischiefs usually saps my energy. But entering our gate with kuya D opening the gate for me and S giggling brings back all the energy I need to play with them at night. Hay, I so love being a mother and going home to my kids.

BabyS' Birthstory

They say your life will change once you have a child, and I super agree to that. I gave a life to two beautiful kids and they turn my world upside down many many times but I don't regret any of it. Giving birth and seeing your baby for the first time is the most fulfilling moments in our lives. So let me share how babyS said "Hello" to the world.

*this is the exact post I wrote for an FB group I join"

" Date of birth : Nov 21, 2015 @10pm
3.2 kilos and 43 cm
39 weeks and 6 days
Due date : Nov 22, 2015
Normal delivery, painless.

Long story, dahil ang haba tlaga labor process ko.
Oct 30 - regular check-up ko, OB did an IE and 1cm na daw. Panic mode ako kasi Hindi pa tlaga ako ready sa work and even mga gamit ni baby. Pero okay naman daw to continue my everyday activities. Nag work pa ako the next week.
Nov 7 - check up again, 2-3 cm na.
Pero she advised me to walk pa din to speed up the process. She also discussed the possibility of cord coil kaya hndi bumababa si baby at mabagal ang progress ko.
Nov 17 - 5cm na, pero takot ako maCS or induce, (induced ako sa first born ko 5cm nagstart and 22 hours labor) kaya I ask OB if okay ba wait kmi until sat Nov 21, if hndi pa tlaga lumabas papa admit na ako para induce. Okay naman sa knya kasi baby is okay naman, and normal delivery naman ako nung first baby ko. Basta sabi lang niya be ready anytime.
So sobrang walking tlaga ako, eat pineapple and linis ng Bahay para mapa anak, pero puro BH lang nararamdaman ko and mawawala kapag nag change position or after empty ng bladder. Ung balakang ko sumasakit after a long walk pero mawawala din.
8pm - arrived at the hospital emergency room, resident OB performed IE and 8cm na daw ako. Panic silang lahat.
After a while 7cm na, hndi na ako makausap sa sakit, they gave me pain reliever pero parang wala ng effect. All I remember is I was crying in pain na talaga, the nurses and anaesthesiologist are asking me na umire ng maganda para makalabas na si baby, even my OB pero napagod na ako tlaga sa sobrang sakit.
I woke up in the recovery room ng 11:45pm, I immediately ask for my baby sabi nasa nursery lang daw and room in na din paglipat ko sa room by 12:30am.
Baby is out by 10pm pala. The nurses pushed the baby nalang daw. And she has single cord coil sa neck and nagpoop agad. So thankful ako at nagdecide ako na magpa admit na din. Baka if nagmatigas pa ako maghintay napano na si baby.
Looking back, sa lahat ng hirap at tagal ng paghihitay namin Kay Summer, worth it naman dahil healthy at safe siya. "

Now, babyS is turning 3 months in 3 days exclusively breastfeed and a happy healthy baby.
We are truly blessed.

DIY Maternity Shoot: Belly Pics

Ola! Happy Monday! I know we all need a lot of positive vibes to get us going to work, after the long weekend. Last weekend was also eventful for the familia E, we truly enjoyed the laziness, playtimes and D. And good news is that babyS I and marks 32 weeks, yes! 8 months and we are doing good with the weight and progress. Hang-in there babyS, two months more before your adventure begins!

So anyway, after searching pegs at pinterest and with Mr. google, I finally had by belly pics courtesy of daddy R. My initial plan was to hire a photographer sana, then do it outdoors. But the price ranges from P4,000 to P5,000 plus so I changed my mind. Haha practicality issues. So we had our trusty iPad and cameras, then with the help of crops and effect. Plus some available dress and props at the comfort of our room. Or maybe I can have someone edit it professionally, so we can print it nicely.  I am happy on how the pics turned out. Next time we will improve the lightning. We just can't do a family pic, walling kukuha! haha so the family pics will be a the studio maybe.

Dear BabyS,

Dear Summer,

You are probably napping inside mommy's tummy while I sentimentally write this letter. Sleep well baby, we are in for the best adventures when you come out, and I can't wait also. You are a bit shy and pilya during your ultrasound, you are very much like mommy baby, but don't worry you will overcome that. I am so looking forward to finally hold you in my arms, to finally breastfeed you, shower you with lots of kisses and sing an un-tuned lullaby for you to sleep.

I'm sorry if sometimes I make you feel that I don't want you or I am not yet ready for you, you know mommy has so many plans before you came. So many plans that I don't know where to start, maybe that's why God blesses us with you so daddy and I can slow down and re align our lives. I may forget to take care of you and my self sometimes but that doesn't mean I love you less, I love you as much as I love your daddy and kuya, I am just afraid of my own ghosts baby, so please forgive mommy okay?

You know what baby? I have so many fears that is keeps me awake at night and sometimes stresses me, but when I feel you move inside me, you are a simple miracle that always reminds me that everything will be alright.

I fear a lot for your health baby, knowing the activities I did, the travels, and the stress I had before I found that you are in my tummy. I pray a lot that in spite all of that, you will be healthy and free from any problems. I also fear for the labor pains again baby, but together, we can do it right? I know you are one fighter and survivor baby, share mommy some of that fighting spirit when you are about to say hi to the world okay?

Yes baby, one of my ghosts is if I can really take care of you and kuya at the same time. You know that I grew up alone. And I don't know how it feels like to have a sister or a bother at home. I don't know how to do it, how to manage two kids and if I am capable of raising two kids. I am sorry if I get emotional because of that, so I always pray to God to bless me with lots of capability to love, bags and sacks of patience and baskets of energy to keep up with you guys. I know you are not impossible to love baby, and you will help me thru this. I'm sorry baby, but please understand mommy, and I will do all my best to love you and kuya as much as I can.

I'm sorry little princess if mommy stresses you with my own ghosts. But believe me,  I am so excited for you, for our adventures, for our bonding moments and I am so preparing for you. But do not go out yet baby, not yet. We will wait until you are healthy and strong enough for the real world. Do not be afraid, KuyaD will be your protector and Daddy R will be the best and sweetest daddy.

I love you so much Summer,

Bump Story

Three months from now, I will again carry this little nugget inside my tummy in my arms. I couldn't contain my excitement, that it has been a part of my day checking from different baby online stores to list down what to buys for the little princess. R is a bit kontrabida though, its in his pamahiin not to buy anything for the baby until she's out. KJ to the highest level, but lets see how he can stop me this time hehe.

On the other side of the Philippnes, lol! let me show you how this little nugget in growing, into a rounded bump. This pregnancy, I vowed to enjoy and document every stages because it might be the last. I wanted to document every milestones and compile them when babyS grew up and asks, I have something to show.

And yes, being pregnant is not easy. But I am so thankful for the people around me who are making my pregnancy journey a bliss, from my family to my officemates and even strangers who are giving me extra priority or a hand everyday. This prego mommy is so thankful!

It's a Girl!

Yes! We are having a girl! a future model, familia E's little princess, a beauty queen, volleyball player, ballet dancer, gymnast and my very own doll! R isn't so happy though, because he wanted another player in his basketball team but he's equally excited to finally have his own sweetheart (D is a mommy's darling!). I bet he's  now contemplating on how to guard her little princess from her future suitors, I even overheard him and D talking on how they will protect the little princess from "bad boys!" haha.

Although, the OB sonologist says she's just 80% sure of the gender, because "summer" is getting pasaway covering her gender and even her face, we are still so happy and thrilled. And if ever "summer" turn-out to be another basketball player, we will still equally love him.  We are also very thankful from the Congenital Anomaly Scan's result that she'll be a healthy baby, we are still praying for the best until she's out. Please also pray for me and summer's safe delivery.

On the other story, our Kuya is growing so fast! Look! he can now drive this car thingy at the mall alone, R just need to guide him from time to time. So proud of this little nugget. But he's now grown too much clingy to me, maybe because of jealous? Everyone now is talking about summer kasi, Oh poor little boy. It breaks my heart when he says "wag ka na pumasok sa office mommy please?, dito ka nalang." Aw! he really wanted to be alone with me these past few weeks, so close that he doesn't even R to be near me. Ayayay! I am praying that he will eventually understand everything and equally love summer as well.

All is well,

Anything goes...

I'm super back!

Well hello there my blog, so sorry that I almost neglect and forgot about you. Little "summer" and I are much doing great now that we are approaching the 5th month. I thought everything will last until I pop, but alas things got better and hopefully I'll be back with my normal programing soon.

No we don't know the gender yet, but I loved the name "summer" and so as everyone in the household so we call the little one "baby summer" muna. This second journey is way harder than my journey with D. Luckily, I wasn't ordered to best rest, but I bout with vomiting, acid reflux(yay!) and lots of heartburns everyday! but I don't complain, everything happens for a reason, for whatever it is, (Sana its because we are having a girl) we will welcome it.

There are so many things that I would like to talk about, but I guess this preggy momma's energy couldn't keep up so I'll try to squeeze it in this post. While kuya D is sleeping beside me. (I typed the draft last weekend).

First, I'd like to talk about my fears. I know it is normal for pregnant mommies, the fear of childbirth, the pain and a lot more... But what I feared most is if I can raise two kids. Really the thought of raising two earthlings frightens me. Being an only child, I don't have any idea how, or if I can do it. I don't know how to treat them equally, or if I can love them fairly. Yes, R and I planned on having 2-3 kids, and now that "summer" is really on the way, I am panicking... nervous... and doubting myself if I can be a good mom.

I am also happy that D is coping up and getting ready on being a "kuya" soon. At first R and I thought na magwawala siya or he will resist the thought if having a sister/brother soon, but no he's an excited and proud kuya pa. I really pray that my two earthlings will grow up loving, caring and supportive of each other.

Third I confess that I battled pre/post partum depression or whatever they call it. Yes I admit "summer" isn't a planned baby, R and I agreed on having the second baby when he's back from Baguio pa. Me? I have other plans like transferring work, getting my masters, starting a new path etc. So many things that I wanna do that I don't know where to start. Then there is this "hormonal imbalance" thingy that according to my OB explains my irregular monthly visits. Then there is diet plans, hardcore exercises and out of town land trips. And suddenly one day I just had this strange feeling that I might be pregnant, and then poof! Its positive. R was so happy, but I was so depressed. Of course I welcome summer as much as D, I am thankful for our second angel, but I have lots of plans that will now have to wait for the next two years again. I know! It must be the hormones again that are working overtime. I am also engulfed with guilt that I didn't prepared my body for summer, I feel like I am bad mother. But little summer was so strong and so healthy from our first ultrasound, a fighter, and I so thankful for that.  Until one day, I realized during the days of my confusion, I walked into a church and told Him, "kayo na po bahala, whatever your plan is... Just guide me through it..," and "summer" must be an answered prayer. God blessed me to be a mother of an angel again, so whatever His reasons are, or His plans will be I would have to trust him. Everything can wait for the right time. I trust God, for whatever His plans are, it will be the best. Right?!

And of course, I wanna share the excitement of being a mother for the second time. Yes, the feeling of shopping for new maternity clothes again, mas madami na styles ngaun unlike 4 years ago. The joy of scanning the baby's section for new things for summer, the unexplainable feeling of seeing your baby in the ultrasound monitor and hearing the heartbeat from the doopler device. Everything is just like the first time. Not to mention speacial lanes for preggy mommies (lol) and the feeling na gandang-ganda na naman sa akin si R hahahaha. Or maybe I really passed the "lihi" stage na, so no more dramas na, and everyday now is filled with happiness and excitement for little "summer".

On the other note, here are some of the moments of kuya D.

His first ever face painting and in character pa. We were surprised that he managed to keep still during the entire painting process. I even asked him, "but hindi ka malikot?!" he said "Malikot din mommy!" haha
The side story is that "dapat mommy elephant ako, kaya lang hindi marunong si ate, lion nalang pero bakit black ako? e di cat na ako?!"

Last summer was so duper super hot no?! And motto ko nun, di bale ng mamulubi sa meralco bill, wag lang maintain so aircon all the way and peg namin. And the little nugget has his way of cooling off, haha ligo batya everyday! He even managed to dive, swim and sun bathe and relax pa?! lol

Yes, D is the one na naglilikot and demonstrating something like a windmill while the rest of the pre-schoolers are in line for the opening program. Anak ko talaga yan! lol

And kuya D started school (again) last june. He's so excited that he doesn't want to pose for a picture. I payed D's tuition fee and other expenses with a prayer na sana pumasok siya araw-araw talaga haha.  And I am so surprised that D can now sit-down in his desk most of the class hours, trace letters and lines and sometimes do color on his own. Big boy na talaga. And hindi na yan nangbubully masyado.

And thats it.. I hope to really post the things that I plan to post in the coming days..

Stay blessed...

G,
