White Chocolate Teddy Bear Pops

Baking and dessert making are my frustrations. For a non domesticated mommy like me, I still wanted to make something for my family. I may not know how to cook mouth watering meals, but I can whip a good desert kapag sinisipag.

So one rainy holiday Friday, I decided to make Teddy Bear chocolates for D, from my stash from his previous parties. It's easy peasy, but you need a lot of patience for it, which the prego mommy is lack off. Nonetheless, D enjoyed the little treat.

You need the following:

Chocolates
Sticks
Teddy Bear Molds
Heat resistant bowl (or double broiler)

The procedure:
1. Boil water into a casserole, once boiling you can put the heat resistant bowl if you don't have double broiler.
2. Pour the chocolates, make sure the chocolate will be in contact with any water, otherwise it will not melt.
3. You can put a small amount of oil to aide the melting of chocolates.
4. Once the chocolates are melted, line the molder with the sticks and pour on the melted mixture, you can add rice crispies or cornflakes to add flavors or to lessen the sweetness.
5. Put the molder to the refrigerator to let it cool and hardened, preferably in the chiller for 10-15 minutes.
6. And it's ready to eat.

Reminder: Do not make this when you plan to rest for the weekend, because certainly, you have to deal with a sugar induced hyperactive toddler. Hindi ka makakapahinga! lol

Melting chocolates and other tools are available at the supermarket.

Happy chocolate making!

I Miss Baguio!

I miss Baguio. Since I am laptopless since monday, and I don't know if I can still recover my files huhu so I am scanning the pictures I saved in my hard drive. And looking over these pictures brings back the memories of the past years, travel years R and I had. And I realized that Baguio has been really our second home. We almost went there every year. Shall I do the throwback? Its Thursday anyway.

Fresh couple in 2010. We decided to spend the holyweek there. And also our first official travel as couple. Oh Baguio also share our relationship milestone. Taken on a boat ride at Burnham Park. Yeah we are that cheesy and so inlove.

Panagbenga Festival in 2011. It is my first time to witness and experience the festival of flowers.

August 2012. And we are a family of 3! This is D's first feel of the Baguio weather. And we thought he loved the cool breeze.

This I can remember if 2013 or 2014. Oh I really lost of my pics. Moreover, this trip is one of the trip D really enjoyed. As he can already walk, jog with us and play at the diferent tourist spots in the city. Taken at chocolate de batirol.

And this for 2014, the latest that I saved. Christmas 2014 at the Wright Park. D is suppoed to ride a horse but he backed up and poses with the dog instead lol.

And I am excited for 2015, we will be a family of 4 then by God's grace with summer. And I am really looking forward to that, and to may years of visits to Baguio and spend more memories there. But this time I will make sure to save the pictures. Baguio, we will be back.

Bump Story

Three months from now, I will again carry this little nugget inside my tummy in my arms. I couldn't contain my excitement, that it has been a part of my day checking from different baby online stores to list down what to buys for the little princess. R is a bit kontrabida though, its in his pamahiin not to buy anything for the baby until she's out. KJ to the highest level, but lets see how he can stop me this time hehe.

On the other side of the Philippnes, lol! let me show you how this little nugget in growing, into a rounded bump. This pregnancy, I vowed to enjoy and document every stages because it might be the last. I wanted to document every milestones and compile them when babyS grew up and asks, I have something to show.

And yes, being pregnant is not easy. But I am so thankful for the people around me who are making my pregnancy journey a bliss, from my family to my officemates and even strangers who are giving me extra priority or a hand everyday. This prego mommy is so thankful!

#blessed

Exploring Ilocos 2015

So, this a super long overdue post. Last summer, as in pahabol in summer. We explored Ilocos Sur, I was hesitant at first because of the long trip and I already have a baby in the oven, but the trip was all worth it. Oh well, our hired driver made everything easy because he drove manila-ilocos in 7-8 hours! nakakaloka! But the less road trip made way for a longer time to explore the region. Surely, there are different bus companies that can take you in Ilocos, but the tourist spots are far from each other so its easiest if you have your own van.

Welcome to LAOAG!

The tower.

The lighthouse.

Windmills!

Rock Formations.

The SummerHouse in Pagudpud, where we stayed overnight.

Oh, hello there beach!

Yummy Palitaw!

Pay sand dunes!

Picture taking at the sand dunes, don't worry, hindi mako summary talaga lol!

This is where I ate the yummiest, tastiest empanada. Yikes! carving again!

And, since D was envied with the pictures I showed him, he also wants a pictures with the windmill. Silly kid.

It's a Girl!

Yes! We are having a girl! a future model, familia E's little princess, a beauty queen, volleyball player, ballet dancer, gymnast and my very own doll! R isn't so happy though, because he wanted another player in his basketball team but he's equally excited to finally have his own sweetheart (D is a mommy's darling!). I bet he's  now contemplating on how to guard her little princess from her future suitors, I even overheard him and D talking on how they will protect the little princess from "bad boys!" haha.

Although, the OB sonologist says she's just 80% sure of the gender, because "summer" is getting pasaway covering her gender and even her face, we are still so happy and thrilled. And if ever "summer" turn-out to be another basketball player, we will still equally love him.  We are also very thankful from the Congenital Anomaly Scan's result that she'll be a healthy baby, we are still praying for the best until she's out. Please also pray for me and summer's safe delivery.

On the other story, our Kuya is growing so fast! Look! he can now drive this car thingy at the mall alone, R just need to guide him from time to time. So proud of this little nugget. But he's now grown too much clingy to me, maybe because of jealous? Everyone now is talking about summer kasi, Oh poor little boy. It breaks my heart when he says "wag ka na pumasok sa office mommy please?, dito ka nalang." Aw! he really wanted to be alone with me these past few weeks, so close that he doesn't even R to be near me. Ayayay! I am praying that he will eventually understand everything and equally love summer as well.

All is well,

G,
