Breastfeeding Room #WhenInCebu

For a breastfeeding mother like me, seeing a place like this is like I am in Worderland. A happy place really. I have been breastfeeding since I became a mom in 2012 non-stop until with S. So you can imagine my struggles in finding a place to unload gold milk and settling into clinics, covered areas or worst is restrooms. Picture tour?!
Lets...

It took me a while to enter in this automatic door.

Isn't it nice? clean? and great?!

And even matchy-matchy with my bf tools.

I just felt bad that when I got home, the gold milk are spoiled because of late flights and bad traffic in Manila.

Giggles #EverydaywithDandS

Sharing everyday stories of D and S, their sibling love and how our life is as family of four. Adding these to our memory bank that hopefully we can look back and laugh at, in the future.

So everyday traffic and mischiefs usually saps my energy. But entering our gate with kuya D opening the gate for me and S giggling brings back all the energy I need to play with them at night. Hay, I so love being a mother and going home to my kids.

CEBU GRAND HOTEL #WhenInCebu

Last time I was in Cebu for training is when I am still pregnant with D. Yes, that long. And Cebu has developed and grew more after that. But, it is still like the same Metro Cebu that I frequented before. yes, the hotels, the restaurants, the traffic, and accommodating people that assists us along the way. But this trip, it is my first time to try Cebu Grand Hotel. I am not so familiar with the place, hence the flyer below. Nice, real deal right?! Considering that it is located near to Ayala Complex and Mango Avenue. Actually Zubu Chon is walking distance from the hotel.

This is their superior room. Simple, but have everything you need.

+1 for the effort in designing the bath towels.

They also have the usual essentials, less tea.

The bathroom. Not Chuvaness approved, but they have the hot and cold shower well functioning and that is a (+)plus for me.

And they have a huge mirror facing the beds. #scary for me so I slept with all the lights and TV on.

When you go down to their function room, you will see this mirror with frames within. Like right?

Function room in classroom type arrangement.

I don't know the rates of the function room since this was pre-arranged for us. But one thing is for sure, their food is good.

(+)
- Location is very accessible with near convenience store and some restaurants
- Accommodating staffs, they even packed my chorizos from the palengke so I can have it checked in.
- Buffet breakfast is good. They serve bacon! lol
- During seminars, all the waiters are attentive to your needs. Function rooms are ready as early as 6AM
- They are reinventing and renovating

(-)
- Scary big mirror in the room lol
- Noisy (slight) aircon
- Smell of carpets

But over all, I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and will consider going back.

CAFE LAGUNA #WhenInCebu

What else to do after a whole day training? EAT.

On our second day in Cebu, we went to Ayala Terraces complex where they have a lot of selections of restaurants and coffee shops. And this one is like our favourite place in Fairview (Ayala Terraces).

Where to go when you have plenty of choices and cannot decide? Ask for the most visited one. So we went inside CAFE LAGUNA. This is chain of restaurants owned by a family from Laguna. They serve authentic tagalog dishes in Cebu and Mindanao. The food is delicious, but very affordable. So let me share our dinner that night.

I always appreciate menu with pictures and prices together. It makes you decide that to order agad. lol

And I appreciate that they have fresh centrepiece. These "big" orchid flower daw is rare to find.

They also serve unlimited  "Pandan" tea as a complimentary as we wait for our food to arrive. Well, actually, drinking tea while savouring the food is good for your digestion.

We loaded on calories with this steamed crab cooked with garlic sauce. Yes, we ate with bare hands.

We also had this "sugbu" (Inihaw) na Taningue.

Pork Sinigang.

Creamy and fresh avocado shake

And for dessert. Macapuno Ube for P95 only! Steal right?! and this is pure ube btw.

CAFE LAGUNA is really one of the restaurants that you should try when you visit Cebu.

So the little one leaned how to do Eat Bulaga! (Peek-A-Boo!)

Since it is raining dogs and cats and birds last night, I decided to put on a blanket to S. To my amazement, she pulled the blanket and covered herself, and opened it giggling. So I get it. She wants to Play!

So the night ended playing Eat Bulaga until D and I are tired from shouting Eat Bulaga!

ZUBU CHON #WhenInCebu

CEBU = LECHON

Trip in Cebu is not complete if you did not eat Lechon. So we hop on to one of the famous restaurant which serves the feast.

As Chef Antoni Bourdain called it "the BEST PIG EVER". They offer various dishes which twisted to have a lechon in it. They also have pasalubongs that you can take home like chicharon, and tablea chocolates.

They also serve in season shakes and juices. Like this DUHAT SHAKE. The sweetness of this native fruit, blended with ice is so refreshing. They also have CAMIAS SHAKE which supposed to clean your palate from eating the falvourful foods. Also they have SANTOL JUICE with real santol skin and seed. (Not in the pictures, we gulped them agad! Lol )

And this, is the STAR OF THE TABLE. With the skin crsipy, tasty and flavorful belly you can't help but to get more rice! Altough, they cook lechon not the traditional way, it is still one of the tastiest lechon I've tasted.

Burp. We also had Adobo Kangkong with chicharon and Steamed Lapu Lapu.

The branch that we went to is near to Cebu Grand Hotel, but there are lots of branches around the city. And there is also one in the airport, where I had my Lechon Sisig with Rice (Yum!). They also sell Lechon per Kilo in a box that you can take home.

Weekend (August 6-7)

For a semi-OFW family like us, weekends are special. I always try to make it really a quality time with the kids. Something that the two will always remember when they grow up.

Morning was spent with S. Her teeth are coming out by 2's so imagine the pain she is going through, kaya super clingy. Poor baby. Don't worry, that will pass. Yun lang, we couldn't keep up to carry a 9 kilo baby all day lol

I also spent an hour cooking our breakfast. I wanna show you how my imbotido and egg-hotdog omelette is, But, wag nalang #medyofail but I am really working on how to improve with kusina skills. I want D and S grow up me cooking their meals. Cross your fingers with me guys.

This is S' breakfast. Brocoli and rolled oats plus mommy's love and milk.

We also went out. S is so happy how cool it is in the mall. Lol lookie who are so look-a-like. As R said, "gandang ganda talaga ako kay S, kamukha ko siya nung baby ako" haha #sabikonga

We can now enjoy non fast food lunch with the babies. It is amazing how R and I can cue silently who to eat first and who will look after the kids. This is really parenting goals.

We dined in at SeaFood Island, this is our feast. Though I find it costly for a P700+++ it is masarap naman. And oh btw, this is for 3-4 persons, and we finished it.

And we have a growing boy who now can finish a twirl of sundae.

And here goes our baby wearing dad having a break. I swear S fall asleep whenever daddy wears her.

And because D wanted us to go home late, (as in wala na araw) we made tambay had coffee and a bread.

Father and son sharing coffee. Yes, D had a caffeine attack the next day lol

Sunday was spent stripping S' cloth diapers. Aren't they are too cute? Yes?
But they are so hard to laundry hAha

And lookie to managed to write his own name. I am proud momma here. Although D started school early, I don't want to pressure him. I just let him learn and enjoy in his own phase. I just need to work on his patience and discipline in studying.

So that is how our weekend went. I hope to document every weekend here.

G,
