The Making of a Bully D!

Me: D picture, smile!
.... and he poses like that. Pasaway db?! He's so cute though.. pero paglaki niya ewan ko lang haha

As like all mothers, I wanted to make sure D will be safe in the uncertain real life. My heart breaks everytime I see news of bullied kids. I was once a bully when I was young, but I also got bullied and I admit there are times that I am afraid to assert my rights, in short nakawawa din ako. I don't want D to experience that, I want him to be brave enough to fight when someone bully him, but not the one who will start the fight. His Lolo E share the same sentiments, so siya talaga nagttrain kay D para maging palaban, I don't mind though. Kaso lately sumosobra yata ang kalokohan?! haha at minsan pati ako na nanay niya ay nabu-bully na din? Hay I need help!

Bully Instance 1: Remember his playmates sa street namin? lets name him babyC, he's turnmimg 4 years old, pero nauna pa si D magsalita. So in short kayang kaya niya ibully. At everytime magtatagpo sila si D palaging tinutulak si babyC, inaagawan ng laruan ang hinahabol. Mean diba? haha so everytime lalabas na si D, ipapasok na ng yaya nila si babyC. haha

Bully Instance 2: While we are walking sa mall, may nakasalubong kami 2 magkapatid, I saw them cute at chubby. Pero wala naman sila ginagawa and mukhang gagawin kay D, but noh si D hinabol sila habang sumasigaw ng "suntok sila" haha basagulero yata paglaki.

Bully Instance 3: Last week, we were at the bus terminal for the vacation. We arrived early so to kill time at para libangin si D na nag aaya na sumakay ng bus I asked him to play with a little girl who also roaming around the lounge kaso ang sabi ni D ay "Ayaw! Panget!" buti nalang hindi narinig ng nanay nung baby girl, kundi mapapa away pa yata ako haha.

Bully Instance 4: While waiting for the procession to start last Good Friday, we roam in the play area of the church, as usual our superlikot is running back and forth. Then he saw a baby with cute airplane na tinutulak, sinundan ni D. Daddy R alerted me kasi nga baka kasi mang-agaw ng toy ang anak niya, but no to our surprise, hinabol niya para tapakan ung toy! buti hindi umiyak ung bata.

Bully Instance 5: At oo nabu-bully din pati ako. He's calling me "mommy gala!" haha
And the other night, I was asking him to put-away all his toys. Deadma. So I told him ibibigay ko nalang sa meow, meow. To my surprise, he stood-up and get his favorite cars and said "Bye bye toys" and walk away. And bad lang diba? tamad.

Bully Instance 6: And even si Father (the priest) in our village naisahan na niya. While at the mass daw yesterday, Father is giving the homily and D suddenly shouted "Lolo pupu ako". Father stunted, got disoriented, Mama said, natigilan habang nagsasalita. Sorry talaga Father!

Marami pa yan, but my momnessia attack ako. But I am still hoping, sana we can make D a brave kid someday. Mapalaki namin siya ng maayos, that will take a lot of work, patience and patience and a lot more of patience, pero yun naman talaga ang role nang mga parents. To guide our kids to be the best person they can be. So good luck to us.

D's Midnight Snack

Since D is a breastfeed baby, from Day1 until now that he's 26 month, he still feeds at night. Yes, we co-sleep and one of the benefits of breastfeeding and co-sleeping that I usually boast with my friends is that hindi ako napupuyat gumising sa gabi! I don't need to get up in bed just to make milk, well aside from nights na may sakit si baby D. Nursing D made me relaxed and also comforts him at night. So, sarap ng tulog namin, hehe.

But since his 2nd birthday that I decided to wean him slowly, that I stopped expressing milk during workdays, and following the law of demand and supply, I know after 3 months my milk supply is slowly dwindle, so malapit na maubos.

Thus, for the last two nights ganito and eksena while sarap ng tulog ko....

D: mommy, owenge (mommy orange juice)
Me: deadma (I thought he's just sleep talking again)
D: mommy, owenge (in a louder voice)
Me: sleep muna baby,
D: (cries loud!)
Me: (no choice but to get up and get orange juice)

And he even ask for Yakult. PG lang ang peg ng anak ko?! e 2AM pa lang?

After D finished his juice and yakult, he went to me and said "Vely gud mommy, Lab you" and hugged me tight. My heart melted and I felt a little guilt since i got irritated at first, imagine?! waking up at the wee hours just to get a juice?! But, yes a power hug will make-up for that.

Naughty Big D!

Past months was so stressful and busy that I always walk to home tired and stressed. Buti nalang April na and medyo light na and sched namin. Thus, the blogs entries I have today. Biglang bumalik and blogging mojo ko, yun lang nakalimutan ko na ung iba kong dapat posts (looser!) next time I will note them. Anyway, nothing beats D's kalokohan in removing our stress, even daddy R is looking forward to my stories sa kalokohan ng anak niya.

D is into wrestling nowadays, sobrang masakit sa katawan and minsan, nakakasakit na talaga. Ikaw ba naman sipain and daganan ng 12 kilos na bata? naku talaga! Boys and their rough play!

At 26 months, D knows how to make his way kapag pinapagalitan. While I am whining on his throwing incidents, ayan biglang nagtulog-tulugan! Kanino kaya nagmana?!

At dahil terrible two na nga siya, medyo nadadalas na din siya sa naughty corner. But no, wala na effect sa kanya and naughty corner at nakukuha pang magpose at magsmile! #mommyproblems tlaga!

Well, aside from kalikutan, he's being naughty has a positive side. Creativity attack! This rack became his driving buddy! with sounds pa yan!

And look who steals mommy's tupperware in the kitchen to have a hat?!

Speaking of being naughty again, what will you do if your toddler ask for chuckie at 4AM? not only 1 but 2?! Hyper attack na naman maghapon as usual!

And 2 donuts just before bedtime?!

Madami pa yan! and I know mas marami pang darating. As I said, cute pa mga kalokohan niya ngaun, let's see when he grow up kung cute pa yang mga kalokohan na yan! Nonetheless, I will always be here to support you anak, and mommy will everything to be your best ally. Si daddy R nalang and didisiplina saiyo.

Deionisms

D's vocabulary is growing so fast, that even things that we didn't teach him alam niya! nakakaloka!

(Hay anak... marunong ka na din umarte? )

After he did something good like wiping the table with his hanky(tsk!) or cleaning his toys
D: Galing! aku!

D: Ako si Rayza may show!
(Anu daw?! no watching TV na talaga)

D: Ako, Ryza Mae Dizon! (sabi ko na talaga no TV na!)

Me: How may eyes do you have?
D: 1 2 3 4 5
Me: How may ears do you have?
D: 1 2 3 4 5
(Alien ka ba anak?!)

- -
Me: Big boy ka na anak, no more dede na,
D: Baby pa,
Me: No big boy D ka na,
D: Baby D!
Me: Big D, kasi malaki ka na,
D: Baby D! Baby D!
(haha kulit lang. )

Hay Anak, don't grow too fast!

Happy Me! February my Birthday Month!

Okay! Happy 1st of April! Ang bilis lang talaga kapag busy ka, (lol) But I thank God that I am busy, because I have work and I can provide for my family's needs. Chos! Anyway,  last Februay, I turned twenty-something and so far the longest birthday celebration I had. Super thanks to everyone who remembered my special day. Bilang isang tao na hindi makatanda ng birthdays (as in I only remember few lang talaga, Thanks to Facebook pa!), I feel so blessed na marami pa din nakaka-alala sa akin. Thus made me feel so loved and remembered last month.

Anyway, my birthday celebration kicked in the morning when D started singing "beytday mommy, beytday mommy, beytday mommy!" Truly that boyoy song is everything! Iba talaga kapag nanay ka na  db? At infairness ang galing ng nagturo sa anak ko. (clap! clap! to Lola and Tita A).

Since we have a training that day, no birthday leave for me. But hey, I have a surprise! Well, actually kasabay ko kasi ng birthday ung president namin, so 2 cakes! (pero wala siya! lol) and I have a lot of sponsors that day! Happy me!

Ice Creams, Blueberry Cheesecake and Sansrival.

Lunch and Table Setting c/o our caterer.

We also had mini pizza party!

Yum! Yum sansrival.

That weekend, daddy R went home with this bag. With the surprise gift. Akala mo anlaki ng laman?!

Bag full of Chico's and Cake.

Tada! Sweet Strawberry Cake straight from Vizco's in Baguio City.

We all loved the cake and D almost smashed it because he wanted to grab the strawberries agad agad.

I also got to experience session in blooms in Baguio City.

Tried fried ballut at Session Road.

Just I thought I'l just have a birthday week, R surprised me with a candle light dinner in Baguio. Yun lang, since I came from Manila pa nagdinner na ako ng bongga before meeting daddy R. So ayan, hindi na ako masyado nakakain. But I am so touched naman sa gesture ni R. I felt to loved.

And another surprise during that trip is R booked us a room in Hotel Elizabeth. Oo nga naman, we used to have vacations like this, just like old times. Nakakamiss din.

And the celebration is still in for our breakfast!

We have melt-in-your-mouth pancakes!

Cheese Omelette.

French Toast.

Chocolate Cake!

And we ended my celebration via pinipilahang Alabanza Longanisa in session in blooms. Yes, pumila talaga ako. And it was worth it.

So far, this year's celebration is one that I value the most. Not because it's the longest so far nor the documented one since ngaun lang ako may blog na, but because this year I felt so loved and I realized a  lot of things in my life. In short nagmature na ako. Now I know to value simple things in life and so far I have a clear direction in my life. And as years add in my calendar, I know I am gaining not just age, but a lot of wisdom, friends and a lot more to be thankful for.

So happy birthday for me!
